Cree Parker

Mrs. Creula Jones “Cree” Parker passed to the next life to be with her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2013, at Ocean Springs Hospital. She was born September 15, 1933, in Carson, to Robert and Josephine Jones. Cree lived her entire adult life in Biloxi working with National Linen Service and then 30 years with the Biloxi cable company.

Mrs. Parker was married to Charles E. “Charlie” Parker and was days short of celebrating 62 years of marriage. Mrs. Cree had many loves in her life: her Lord and Savior, her family and friends and her work. She had a special love for cooking/baking and watching her family and friends enjoy the fruits of her labor. Mrs. Parker was a devout Christian and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Biloxi.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Graveside services were held November 20 at Dublin Baptist Church Cemetery in Prentiss. Rev. L.C. Anthony officiated. Pallbearers were Eddie Smith, Jeff Riggs, Alex Harries, Ned McCormick II, Ned McCormick III and Don Boswell.

Mrs. Parker leaves behind her beloved family including her husband Charles E Parker of Biloxi; her daughter Debbie Harris (Lee) of Meridian; her grandsons, Parker L Harris (Laura) of Brandon and Robert N. “Bo” Harris (Deanna) of Raleigh, NC; her great-grandchildren Hunter and Mary Harris both of Raleigh, NC, Lofton Harris of Brandon, and Hanna Wilson of Raleigh, NC; her brother Jonnah Ray Jones (Margaret) of Vicksburg; her brothers-in-law, Mack Parker (Beck) of Stringer, and Thomas Rogers of Monticello; her sisters-in-law, Christine Elrod (Colby) of Sunset, TX, Ann Parker of Stringer, and Bonnie Belle Jones of Wiggins; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Perry Jones, R.C. Jones, Cecil Jones and Wayne Jones and her sister, Ella Mae Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
