Wallace Clark

Funeral services were Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, for Rev. Wallace Clark, age 69, of Silver Creek, who passed away on November 22 at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Interment followed at Bethany Cemetery in Prentiss. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. L.C. Anthony, Rev. Doug Saxon, Rev. Jessie Holloway and Rev. Earl Clark officiated. Pallbearers were Kaleb Fortenberry, Haegan Lee, Layne Sandifer, Les Rodgers, David Runnels, Luis Ray Helton, Mike Stanfield and Brian Robertson.

A native of Lawrence County, Rev. Heston Wallace Clark was born on June 21, 1944. He was the son of Heston Clark and Myrtis Robertson Clark. He worked for many years as a mechanic in the offshore oil industry. After leaving the oilfield, he had his own business in Silver Creek called “Wally World”. He answered the call to preach and has been a minister for 20 years. He was the minister and a member of Galilee Baptist Church in the Rockport Community.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Pat Clark of Silver Creek; his daughters, Beverly Fortenberry and Suzy Smith both of Silver Creek; his six grandchildren; his brother, Rev. Earl Clark of Morton; and his sister, Hazel Brown of Niceville, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
