Funeral services were held November 30, 2013, at Pleasant Grove MB Church, Silver Creek, for Mr. Carl J. Longino, 78, who died November 20, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson. Rev. Larry Banks officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Longino was born to the late Oscar and Wincie Longino in Lawrence County. He was married to the late Dorothy Smith.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Taylor, D.B. and Charles Longino; three sisters, Lucile Stringer, Nomia Longino and Roberta Spikes and one son, Carl Jackson.

He is survived by six daughters, Ruby Longino, Carolyn Longino, Latora Walker, Rose Franklin, Dorothy Preston and Betty Glee; three sons, Carl Longino, Troy Longino and Bobby Smith; three sisters, Mattie (George) Garner of Silver Creek, Daisy Longion of Hammond, LA, and Vilma Showers of Livingston, LA; caregivers, Yolanda Garner, Linda Owens and April Garner; and a host of grandchildren.
