A funeral service celebrating the life of Kaylan Reid Ainsworth was held at December 7 at Cold Springs Baptist

Church. Sixteen-year-old Kaylan Ainsworth was a resident of Collins and went to be with Christ on December 5, 2013. Reverend West Garner, Reverend Robert Cooper, and Reverend Scotty Hartman officiated. Sharilyn Magee provided the musical service. Interment was in the Lone Star Cemetery with Wade Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were the 11th grade young men of Prentiss Christian School including Hunter Berry, Wesley Daughdrill, Peyton Dungan, Tanner Hathorn, Brandon Hughes, Michael Johnson, Blake Lightsey, Dillan Rush, Tyler Shivers, and Chris Thompson.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Prentiss Christian School Cheerleaders including Carrie Broome, Brittany Burrow, Anna Williams Cochran, Courtnay Evans, Bayleigh Foster, Jennye Hanna, Bailey Holder, Morgan Jones, Madison Kinabrew, Mayci McCloud, Kathleen Murphy, Taytum Reid, Colleen Reynaud, Hailey Riley, Breanna Sanford, Macy Thornton, and Molly May Vinson. Members of the ACE Tribe of Mississippi also served as honorary pallbearers.

Kaylan Reid Ainsworth was born on Monday, December 8, 1996, in Hattiesburg to John Christopher Ainsworth and Tanya Danelle Easterling Ainsworth. She was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church, where she was active in the youth ministry. Kaylan was an 11th grade student at Prentiss Christian School, where she was a cheerleader. She was a member of the competitive cheer group ACE Tribe of Mississippi, and a member of the softball team.

Kaylan is survived by her mother, Tanya Easterling Magee and her husband Jeffery of Collins; her father, Chris Ainsworth and his wife Lisa of Collins; her sister, Brooklyn Hope Ainsworth of Collins; her half-brother and sister, John Logan and Bella Clair Ainsworth; step-brothers and sister, Clay Magee, Bo Magee, and Breanna Magee; maternal grandparents, Madelyn Hughes Easterling of Collins and Cecil Easterling and his wife Sharon of Seminary; paternal grandparents, Barbara Little Dossett and her husband Billy Frank of Collins and John Douglas Ainsworth and his wife Connie of Collins; step-grandparents, Jeff and Dorothy Magee of Petal and Eddie and Joyce VanStory of Nesbit; her uncle, Guy Easterling and his wife Tori.Kaylan is also survived by her step-uncles, Brian Dossett and his wife Angela of Seminary and Michael and Erin VanStory of Hernando; as well as a host of friends and other relatives.
