Graveside services were held December 7, 2013, at Russell Family Cemetery, Silver Creek, for Mrs. Ruth Nell Russell, 82, who died December 2 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg. Rev. Ronnie Macabee officiated. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Russell was born to the late Paul and Sarah Expose. She was a lifelong member at South Pleasant Hill M. B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Minnie Daggins, Willie Norwood, Queen Ester Coleman, Lillie Mae Oatis, Mason Oaties, R. D. Expose, Silas Expose and Margaret Bridges.

She is survived by: five children: Cynthia Russell of Poplarville, MS; Pamela (Jerrie) Barnes of Silver Creek, MS; Glenn (Mary) Russell of Sumrall, MS; Sarah (Marvin) Gray of Jackson, MS and Christopher (Jackie) Russell of Slidell, LA; 14 grandchildren, Jerrie, Eric, Natasha, Brittany, Glenn, Jr., Alberta , Jace, Galvin, Dana, Mario, Canteau, Kristian, Mark and Keilab; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Annie L. Oatis of Silver Creek, MS; many other relatives and friends.
