Building progressing on Foley concrete plant

The Board of Supervisors approved payment to Kimes & Stone Construction for the paving of the construction site grounds of Foley Products Company.

“They are finishing today,” said county engineer Les Dungan last Monday of they paving and asphalt company. The invoice amount due immediately is $704,222.62 which will be covered according to Dungan by an ACE grant, remaining CDBG funs and a CAP loan.

Operations Director, Roy Wilson, states that plans have not been finalized as of yet regarding the acceptance of job applications. “We’re hoping for January,” said Wilson.

Construction workers are on-site daily as significant progress is being made on completion of the building. “We can’t wait to be up and running,” Said Wilson.
