Karen Sanford / The Prentiss Headlight – Extreme winter weather closed businesses and schools throughout the county on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tractors and dump trucks were no match for slippery roads as freezing rain, sleet and snow packed the streets. "We got so much sleet," said Supervisor Corky Holliman. "That's what put us in such bad shape." Expected accumulation of snow/sleet: approximately 2-4 inches.
