The First Lady of Mississippi, Deborah Bryant, made a stop Friday at J.E. Johnson Elementary School as part of her education initiative “Read Across Mississippi”.  Mrs. Bryant’s goal is to read to students in all 82 counties of Mississippi throughout 2014 with her focus being grades K-3. She began her visit by showing pictures of the First Family and telling the students interesting things about the day to day life in the Governor’s Mansion.  She concluded by reading a book to the third grade class entitled “The Fib: A Wordy Tale” by Mississippi Author Bill Wilson.
