Funeral services were held April 5, 2014, at St. Peters Catholic Church in Bassfield, MS, for Mrs. Effie Doris Clark, age 98, of Philadelphia, MS, who passed away on March 29. Interment followed at St. James Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Father Peter Varghese, Deacon Bob Everard and Father Augustine Palimattam officiated. Pallbearers were James McGilbra, Jeff McGilbra, Chris Bednar, Jimmy Kerley, Ted Applewhite and Jody Reno.

Mrs. Effie Doris Clark was born on August 13, 1915, in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She was the daughter of Tom Kerley and Effie Magee Kerley. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peters Catholic Church.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughter, Jo Beth McGilbra of Philadelphia, MS, and her two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill Clark, two daughters and a grandson.
