Four people have been arrested in the Sept 13, 2013, murder of 26-year-old Antwaune Cortez Walker.

Malcolm K. Love (27), Joseph B. Spivey (23), Shanice N. Johnson (21), and Gerald J. Aldridge (32), are all from Jones County and have all been charged with capital murder.

Antwaune Cortez Walker was found fatally shot on the morning of September 14, 2013, near his home on 26 Wheeler Lane just off Granby Road. Wheeler had been reported missing prior to the discovery.

According to the investigation, robbery was the motive for the murder.

“We are glad this case has been solved, especially for the family of Mr. Walker. Our goal is to provide justice for the citizens of Jefferson Davis County as well as the visitors passing through,” said Sheriff Ron Strickland.

Assisting the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation were the FBI and the DEA.
