Hope Lena Mackey

Graveside services were held Pleasant Grove MB Church Cemetery for Miss Hope Lena Mackey, 38, who died May 9, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson. Rev. Jerry Horton officiated. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Hope Lena Mackey was born in Jackson to Mary Lena Horton Cooper. She attended and graduated from McCullough Junior High School in 1995. She then attended the Millcreek Day Center until her heath failed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Burnell Mackey.

She is survived by mother, Mary L. Horton and step-father, Wayne Cooper; two sisters, Exlena Horton of Canton and Kizzy Ann Horton of Silver Creek; step-sister, Tiffany Cooper of Gulfport; seven brothers, Lamar Horton and Victor Longino both of Silver Creek, Burnell Mackey, Jr. of Brookhaven, Dwight Mackey of Louisiana; Joseph (Kitha) of Tylertown; step-brothers, Wayne, Jr. and Dewayne Cooper of Brookhaven; grandmother, Lena Mae Horton of Silver Creek; many other relatives and friends.
