Funeral services were held May 22, 2014, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Cleveland Stringer, age 60, who died May 15, at Lawrence County Hospital, Monticello. Rev. Micheal Graves officiated with interment following in the Pearl River Valley Church Cemetery in Monticello. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cleveland Stringer was born to the late Effie and Bessie Stringer. He attended school in Monticello, Mississippi, and was a member of Pearl River Valley MB Church.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Decell Stringer, Shirley Stringer, Shelby Madison and French Stringer.

He is survived by three sisters, Alice Stringer, Celia Stringer and Alean Stringer; two brothers, S.L. and Effie Stringer; and many other relatives and friends.
