Megan L. Hall Earnest

Mrs. Megan “Pumkin” L. Hall Earnest, 34, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, in Copiah County as a result of injuries she sustained in an automobile accident. Memorial services for Mrs. Earnest were held on May 31 at the Lucas Tabernacle Church of Christ Holiness USA with Elder Rufus Field officiating. Laird Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Earnest was the youngest daughter of the late Billy Ray Hall and Francine Daniel Hall of the Mt. Zion Community of Jefferson Davis County. At an early age she joined the Lucas Tabernacle Church and remained a member until her death.

Mrs. Earnest graduated from Prentiss High School in 1998 prior to attending Jackson State University and earning an Associate degree from Jones Community College in Computer Science and Business Administration.

After school, Mrs. Earnest worked for the Mississippi Department of Transportation as an administrative assistant until her death. Mrs. Earnest married Jeremy Earnest of Crystal Springs in 2012 and to this union no children were added.

Mrs. Earnest’s survivors include her husband, Jeremy Earnest of Crystal Springs; her mother, Francine Hall of Silver Creek; one brother, Latitus (Sharon) Hall of Gulfport; one sister, Mortischa (Faniel) Hicks of Florence; four uncles, Johnny (Delcenia) Daniels of Holly Springs, Sam (Mary) Jones of Moss Point, Jerry Hall of Brooklyn, NY, and Andrew (Camille) Hall of New Orleans, LA; three aunts, Linda S. Daniels of Memphis, TN, Erma L. Hall of Prentiss, and Cynthia Daniels of Gulfport; her mother-in-law, Dessie Earnest of Crystal Springs; and a number of other relatives and friends.
