Frances Lavern Adams

Funeral services were held Friday, June 6, 2014, at Monticello Pentecostal Church in Monticello for Mrs. Frances Laverne Adams who passed away on June 3. Interment immediately followed at the Monticello Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.
Rev. Glen Hilton and Rev. James Rushing officiated. Pallbearers were Johnny Adams, Timothy Westmoreland, Rickey Adams II, Chris Adams, Joseph Nations and Joshua Nations. Junior pallbearers were Trey Adams, Zachary Adams, Chase Adams, Grant Adams, Glen Adams, Caleb Adams, Lance Adams, Anthony Centers, Ian Williams, Harley Westmoreland, Dalton Westmoreland, Jacob Simeon Adams, Westly Gordan Nations and Liam Cole Adams.
Mrs. Frances Laverne Adams was born in Helena, Arkansas, on October 16, 1929. She was the daughter of Clifton & Birdie Shields. She worked as a seamstress at Kellwood for 20 years and was also a homemaker. She was a faithful charter member of Monticello Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Alexander (William) of Greenwell Springs, LA, and Evelyn Westmoreland (Larry) of Gadsden, AL; her sons, Wayne Adams (Libby) of Baton Rouge, LA, and Rickey Adams (Deloris) of Shuqualak, MS; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; her sister Birdie Gehbeaur of Thibodeaux, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, L.C. Adams and two sisters.
