Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Mt. Zion MB Church for Mrs. Virginia Hall, 98, who died Sunday, May 25, at Jeff Davis Community Hospital. Rev. Ozell White officiated with interment following in the Griffith Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Virginia Hall was born to the late Robert “Cap” Griffith and Emma Jones Griffith. She was educated at Prentiss Institute. She was married to the late Dewey Hall. She was a member of Mt. Zion MB Church where she was a member of the Mission Society.

She was preceded in death by: sister, Jarutha Bryant; three brothers, Paul, Robert and Dannie Griffith.

She is survived by her brother, Johnnie Griffith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
