Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, for Mr. Hal Douglas Fortenberry, age 63, of Prentiss who passed away on June 9. Interment followed at Hepzibah Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.
Rev. Richard Greene officiated. Pallbearers were Danny Daniels, Danny Lyn Daniels, Larry Odom, Jeremy Odom, William Fortenberry, David Fortenberry, Lawrence Fortenberry and Harold Taylor.
Hal was a long time resident of Prentiss. He was born on October 11, 1950. He was the son of Solon Fortenberry and Marguritte Fortenberry. He worked for Beat 1 for several years. He enjoyed farming and dog breeding. He was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church of Silver Creek.
He is survived by his sister Jackie Fortenberry of Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
