Leo Wilson

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at New Chapel Pentecostal Church in Collins for Mr. Leo Wilson, age 77, who passed away on June 14 at his residence in Prentiss. Interment followed at the New Chapel Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Ken Hickman and Rev. Ronnie Sanford officiated. Pallbearers were Bobby Rushing, Blake Hartfield, Joshua Collins, Dennis Clark, Joel Hoxie and Thomas Hamilton.

A native of Jefferson Davis County, Leo Wilson was born on July 3, 1936. He was the son of Robert Wilson and Lula Bell Boleware Wilson. He worked in the offshore oilfield as a driller and a tool pusher. He also worked for Beat 5 Jefferson Davis County road crew. He enjoyed the outdoors as a logger and farmer.  He was a member of New Chapel Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Margie Wilson of Prentiss; his sons, Jim Wilson of Prentiss, John Wilson (Tonya) of Columbia and Jeff Wilson (Melissa) of Foxworth; his daughters, Judy Wilson of Prentiss and Jeanette Dunn (Dale) of Seminary; his 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his sister, Bernice Dyess of Carson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
