Men, women, and children of all ages gathered Friday at the Longleaf Trace Park to enjoy music, games, food and fellowship. The event ended in a bang with a tremendous fireworks display.

The 2nd annual event was sponsored by the Unity in the Community organization and brought a larger crowd than last year. Laregus Thompson was the winner of the grill given away at the conclusion of the evening. Money from chances on the grill helped sponsor the event. “Feedback from the event has been very positive and everyone seems to be looking forward already to next year’s event.  We hope it will be even bigger and better,” said Judy Cole, Unity member.
