Ruby Loftin Williams

Funeral services were held July 3, 2014, at Antioch Baptist Church in Prentiss for Mrs. Ruby Loftin Williams, age 99, who passed away on July 1 at Perry County General Hospital in Richton. Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.
Rev. John Barnes III and Rev. Butch Harmon officiated. Pallbearers were Jim Parkman, Curtis McNeil, Will Hanna, Mark Peavy, Eddie Freeman and Reggie Williams.
Ruby was born on December 13, 1914, to Eugene Adrian (Genie) Bass and Ida Belle McNease Bass in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She attended schools in the county and was the oldest living member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was a Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart and soul.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn McRaney of Prentiss and Ora Belle Williams (Robert) of Florence; one son, Carroll Loftin, Jr. (Nancy) of Richton; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Carroll Loftin, Sr. and Jack E. Williams, her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
