Tanya Christine Shows, age 38, beloved wife of Keith Shows, mother of Morgan and Tyler, daughter of Peggy Purvis, daughter in-law of Larry and Barbara, stepsister of Hardy, Donald and Paula and aunt to several nieces and nephews went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Kiley Young and Rev. Sonny Adkins officiated. Pallbearers were Benjie Jackson, Traylor Jackson, Toby Douglas, Kevin Kirk, Kirk Shows and Jamie Stuckey.

Tanya was born on October 29, 1975, in Jackson, MS. She was a resident of New Hebron and member of New Hebron Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a former employee for seven years at the Hand Center in St. Dominic Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Fortenberry; her stepfather, Donald Purvis; and her uncle Larry Chalk.

Visitation was held at Saulters Moore funeral home in Prentiss on Thursday, September 11 and again Friday September 12 at the New Hebron Baptist Church. The funeral service was held Friday at New Hebron Baptist Church and interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery.
