Funeral services were held Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Pen Oak MB Church, Silver Creek, Mississippi, for Mrs. Beulah Lee Brown, age 93, who died Wednesday, September 17 at Jeff Davis Extended Care Facility. Rev. Robert Barnes officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Beulah Brown was born to the late Isom and Christine Sanders in Monticello, MS. She joined Oak Grove MB Church, Monticello, at an early age.
She married the late Jack Brown and joined Pen Oak MB Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Effie Lewis of Silver Creek, MS; two sisters-in-law, Emma Sanders and Rosia Lee Sanders; four grandsons, Thomas (Sandra) Lewis of Gulfport, MS, Kevin (Georgia) Lewis of Monticello, MS, Eric (Alice) Lewis of Columbia, MS, and Derrick Lewis of Monticello, MS; one great-grandson, Miguel Lewis of Columbia, MS; special friend, Erma Benz and Maggie Washington, sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie, Queen Ester and Mary; six brothers, Dewitt Bishop, Leon, Lloyd, Levell, William and David; two sisters-in-law, Birta Mae and Thelma.
