Funeral services were held Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Mt. Carmel M.B. Church for Mrs. Doris Louise Hall Hathorne who died September 26 in Prentiss. Elder Charles L. Price officiated the interment following in the Dennis Griffith Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Doris Louise Hall Hathorne was born to the late R.J and Lena Mae Hall. She was a member of Mt. Zion MB Church and was educated in Jefferson Davis County School District. She worked at Magnetek in Mendenhall and Horace Small. Her last employment was Pioneer Aerospace in Columbia.
Doris is preceded in death by her son Lee Marvin Hathorne.
She is survived by her son, Sterling O’Jay Hathorne, Hattiesburg; four brothers, James C. Hall, Chicago, IL, Javious (Sarah) Hall, Homer (Lillie) Hall, all of Prentiss, Charles L. (Pamela) Price, Gainesville,VA; three sisters, Margie Goodloe of Oakvale, Elaine (Eddie) Ratliff of Prentiss, Iris Jean Henric, Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
