Etha Mae B. Harper

Funeral services for Mrs. Etha Mae Buckley Harper, 94, Bassfield, were held on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Bassfield Pentecoastal Apostolic Church. Interment was in the Progress Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Anna Keys officiated the services. Reeves Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Olive was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Harper passed away on Monday, October 20, at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS.
Active pallbearers were her nephews. Honorary pallbearers were Willie Lee Harper, Leversy Harper, Richard Harper, James Lewis, Steven Harper, Charles Harper, Michael Harper, Derrick Harper, David Wayne Harper, Willie L. Harper, Wilshonda Harper, and Darick Harper.
Mrs. Harper was beloved by her entire family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Lula Buckley; her husband, Charlie Harper; five sons, Charles Harper, L.V. Harper, S.L. Harper, Lafayette Harper, and Jerry Harper; one daughter, Maggie Ruth McLaurin.
Survivors include, one son, Willie Lee Harper, San Jose CA; five daughters, Lula Jane Harper and Ira Jean Lewis (Shelton) of Hattiesburg, Mary Butler (Prince) of San Jose, CA, Gracie Harper and Mattie Mae Bass (Ance) of Bassfield; two step-children, Leola Griffith of Bassfield and Levrsy Harper of Hattiesburg; two daughters-in-law, Katherine Harper of Bassfield and Laura Harper of Hattiesburg; one sister-in-law, Ruby Buckley of Hattiesburg; 48 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
