Memorial services were held Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Goss Baptist Church in Columbia for Mrs. Geraldine Jane Busha Cole, age 71, of Oakvale, who passed away November 17 in Hattiesburg. Rev. Mark McArthur officiated. Saulters Moore Funeral Service of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Geraldine Jane Busha Cole was born April 21, 1943, in Hattiesburg. She was the daughter of Charles Lee and Sallie Seal Jones. She worked at Hattiesburg American for 15 years and also worked at Reliance Mfg. Co. in Columbia. She was an accomplished quilter and enjoyed her quilting clubs at New Hebron, Goss, and Hepzibah Baptist Churches. Mrs. Cole was an active member of Goss Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.

Mrs. Cole is survived by her husband, Johnny Cole of Oakvale; one daughter, Melinda Jones of Lumberton; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two brothers, W.C. Jones and Jim Jones of Pensacola, FL; four sisters, Nancy Graham of Petal, Juanita Sellers of Scooba, Linda McCarty of Memphis, TN, and Anna Lowery of Hattiesburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
