Funeral services were held Friday, November 28, 2014, at New Chapel Pentecostal Church, Collins, MS, for Mrs. Quilla Theresa Davis, age 81, of Prentiss, MS, who passed away November 23 at her residence. Interment followed in the New Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Rodney Bankens, Rev. Robbie Bankens, Rev. Louie Davis, Rev. Shirdon Davis and Rev. Ronnie Turner officiated. Saulters Moore Funeral Services of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Pallbearers were Kevin Davis, Jacob Davis, Jeremy Johnson, Josh Johnson, Jason Ainsworth, Justin Ainsworth, Tony Martin, and Chase Davis.

Quilla “QT” Davis was born on September 19, 1933, in Jones County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Sherman Beech, Sr. and Mary Melissa Bush Beech. She was a retired seamstress and homemaker. She was a member of New Chapel Pentecostal Church.

Mrs. Davis is survived by husband, Sam Davis of Prentiss, MS; four sons, Ricky Davis of Jayess, MS, Michael Davis of Prentiss, MS, Darren Davis of Ruth, MS, Sammy Davis of Murfreesboro, TN; four daughters, Deborah Waller of Crosby, MS, Martha Ainsworth of Collins, MS, Renee Bankens of Petal, MS, Tammy Nichols of Mobile, AL; two sisters, Elizabeth Graham of Mobile, AL, Carolyn Shows of Laurel, MS; brother Sherman Beech, Jr. of Laurel, MS; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her parents and one grandchild preceded her in death.
