Lucille Richmond Jones

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Missionary Lucille Richmond Jones, 96, who died Friday, December 12, 2014, at Plaza Community Living Center, Pascagoula, MS. Rev. Moses Johnson officiated with interment following in the North Pleasant Hill M. B. Church cemetery, New Hebron, MS. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lucille Richmond Jones was born to the late Randall and Hattie Richmond in Lawrence County, MS. She joined North Pleasant Hill M. B. Church at an early age and moved to Alabama for several years before moving back to Mississippi. She continued her missionary work as a counselor, pprayer warrior and freely rendered her service and time sitting with the sick.

She attended many churches, including Zion Community Church of God in Oakvale, MS and New Hebron Pentecostal Church and many more. She attended school at Cherry Hill School in New Hebron, MS. She was married to the late Edward Jones.

She was preceded in death by: sisters, Ida Mae Holloman, Amy Norwood, Lutisha Wolfe, Jewel Smith, Emma Brown, Mary Walker and five brothers.

She is survived by: son, James Richmond McCullom of New York; grandchildren, nephew caregiver, Leroy (Dorothy) Walker of Gautier, MS; niece, Lillie Mae Wolfe of Pinola, MS; special nephew, M. C. Cato of New Hebron, MS; many other relatives and friends.
