“Reggie” Butler

Funeral services were held Monday, December 8, 2014, at Phalti Baptist Church for Mr. Reginald Alexander Butler, age 22, who passed away on December 5 as the result of an auto accident. Interment followed at Phalti Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.
Rev. Billy Bridges and Rev. Jeff Davis officiated. Pallbearers were Aaron Moore, Ivan Colson, Charles Duckworth, Rodrick Sims, Frazier Feazell and Savion Funchess.
Reggie was born on August 26, 1992, in Jackson. He was the son of Reginald Feazell and Nollie Butler. He worked as a laborer for Hemphill Construction Co. He was a 2011 graduate of Prentiss High School. He played trumpet and tuba in the band, and was the recipient of the Prentiss High Band Perfect Attendance award in 2005-2006 and the Prentiss High Principal’s Scholar award for 2008-2009. He was a member of Phalti Baptist Church.
He was a fine young Christian man and highly thought of by many in the community.
He is survived by daughter, Raniyah Butler; fiancé Shamish Craft of Magee; mother, Nollie Tera Butler of Mt. Olive; father and step mother, Reginald and Theresa Feazell of Mt. Olive; two brothers, Andrew Smith, Jr. of Mt. Olive and Savion Funchess of Prentiss; maternal grandparents, Vernon and Nollie Butler of Mt. Olive; paternal grandfather, John Earl Feazell of Mt. Olive.
