Myrtle Bryant

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss for Mrs. Myrtle Bryant, age 88, who passed away on January 15 at her residence in New Hebron. Interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery in New Hebron. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Doc. Bradford and Rev. Mike Grenn officiated. Pallbearers were David Bryant, Jr., Conner Bryant, Brent Bryant, Spencer Bryant, Matthew Bryant, Samuel Lee, Jr. and Leonard Durr.

Myrtle was born on October 10, 1926, in Jefferson Davis County. She was the daughter of Pink McNeese and Lucy Davis McNeese. She was a seamstress for 25 plus years. She worked at New Hebron Manufacturing for 15 years and the remaining years at Edward Hyman and Kellwood. She was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church and was active in the Dorcus Sunday school class. She was a member of the Cemetery Association for a numbers of years and was also an avid gardener.

She is survived by her son, David Bryant of Jayess; two daughters, Elizabeth McLeod of New Hebron, and Marie Mullins of McComb; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Lee of New Hebron.

Her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
