Funeral services were held December 31, 2014, at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss, for Mr. Kenneth William Stephens, age 68, who passed away on December 27, at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital. Interment followed at Society Hill Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Tommy Broome officiated. Pallbearers were: Bo Foster, Donald Foster, Nick Foster, David Miller, Kenneth Hester, Chuck Pruitt, Big Shot (William) Stephens and Little Austin Buckley.

Kenneth was born on October 13, 1946, in Prentiss, MS. He was the son of Shelby Otis Stephens and Berniece Blackmon Stephens. He attended PRCC for two years and he worked for 30 years as a salesman and truck driver for Prentiss Butane Gas Company. He was a member of Society Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth H. (Leslie) Stephens of Petal; daughter, Kim (Douglas) Patterson of Columbia; stepson, Lamar Brackeen of Chatanooga, TN; two stepdaughters, Sheena Ducharme of Lake View, FL, and Christine Harkness of Monticello; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Odessa Parolisi of Madison, Betty Stephens of Winona, Minnesota, and Pam Stephens of Ridgeland; and his faithful companion Peppie.

His parents and his wife preceded him in death.
