Robert J. Renfroe

Funeral services were held January 21, 2015, at Divide Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello for Mr. Robert J. Renfroe, age 85, who passed away January 18 at his residence in Monticello. Interment followed at Divide Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.
Bro. John Gerald, Rev. Ladon Dawson and Rev Joey Faulk officiated. Pallbearers were John Catt, Mike Catt, James Lambert, David Renfroe, Pete Matthews, Jeremy Cothern and Hunter Cothern.
Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Fuller, Archie Lambert, Edward Lambert and Edward Howell.
Robert Renfroe was born October 23, 1929, in Monticello, MS. He was the son of Lee Roy Renfroe, Sr. and Mattie Azella Tullos Renfroe. He owned and operated Renfroe Grocery for 35 years in Jayess and worked in construction for 10 years. He also was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. He was a member of Divide Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello.
He is survived by two sons, Wayne Renfroe (Cindy) of Monticello and Royce Renfroe (Margie) of Jayess; daughter, Laraine Lord (Daniel) of Monticello; three sisters, Betty Jean Watkins of Laurel, Irene Davis of Monticello and Nell Shirley of Pelahatchie; two brothers, Lee Roy “Bug” Renfroe, Jr. of Jayess, and Larry Renfroe of Brookhaven; two grandchildren, Jason Wayne Renfroe and Maranda Cothern; two great-grandchildren, Izabelle Cothern and Hunter Layne Cothern; and a number of nieces and nephews.
