Jimmy Armstrong

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Saulters-Moore Funeral Chapel for Mr. Jimmie Franklin Armstrong, age 88, of New Hebron, who passed away March 3 in Jackson. Interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery.

Rev. Jimmy Wood and Rev. Mike Grenn officiated.

Pallbearers were Joseph Bullock, Blake Powell, Brannon Graves, Billy Langley, Travis Langley, and Ernest Langley.

Mr. Jimmie Armstrong was born November 9, 1926, in Copiah County, MS. He was the son of Jessie and Myrtis Beasley Armstrong. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. He worked for Southern Natural Gas Company for 32 years and retired as an assistant chief. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and fishing. He was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church.

Mr. Armstrong is survived by his wife, Wilma Langley Armstrong of New Hebron; one daughter, Kathy Armstrong Bullock of Prentiss; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

His parents, two sisters, one brother, and two infant daughters preceded him in death.

Saulters-Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.
