Olivia “Honey” Travis

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Pleasant Grove MB Church, Silver Creek, for Mrs. Olivia “Honey” Travis, 61, who died Saturday, April 18, at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson. Rev. Eskria Rhodes officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Olivia Travis was born to the late Clarence and Queen Johnson in Rankin County. She was a member of Pleasant Grove MB Church. She began her occupation at the New Hebron Sewing Factory where she worked until it closed. She later worked at Kellwood Sewing Factory and later the New Hebron Nursing Home until she became disabled.
She was married to the late Robert Lee Hill and one child was born to this union. She later married Phillip Travis.
She is survived by husband, Phillip Travis of Silver Creek; son, Rev. Kenneth (Lisa) Hill of Newton; sister, Emma (Johnny C) Oatis of Silver Creek; son, Glenn (Bobbie) Johnson of Florence; two aunts; many other relatives and friends.
