Funeral services were held Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. James Arthur Morgan, 54, who died Monday, May 11, at Jeff Davis Community Hospital. Rev. Willie Norwood officiated with interment following in the Sherry K. Alexander Memorial Cemetery, Braxton. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. James A. Morgan was born in England to the late Arthur and Florence Morgan. He grew up in Bronx, New York. He has been a resident of Prentiss for the past three years.

His sister Violet Corbett preceded him in death.

She is survived by son, James Morgan, Jr., (Elaine Morgan); brother, David Morgan; aunts, Sarah and Catherine; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
