Funeral services were held June 18, 2015, at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, for Mr. Dennie Edward McNeese, age 74, who passed away June 15, at the Covington County Hospital in Collins. Rev. Robert Sones officiated. Interment followed at Dublin Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joseph Quick, Scott Bayles, Kevin Davis, James Earl Stephens, Jason Polk and Joseph Amato.

“Bud” was born December 22, 1940, in Jefferson Davis County, MS. He was the son of the late Billy McNeese and Exer Carson McNeese. He worked as a welder offshore for 30 years and painted houses and farmed cows in his off time. He was a member of Dublin Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita “Nita” McNeese of Prentiss; one son, Roger McNeese of Brandon; two daughters, Cindy Quick of Prentiss and Sheila Carter of Orange Beach, FL; five grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Tagert of Columbia, Sue Polk of Carson, and Ruth Bayles of Prentiss; one brother, Gerald “Babo” McNeese of Prentiss.

His parents and one sister preceded him in death.
