Funeral services were held Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Miss Rosie Mae Banks, 89, who died Saturday, June 20, at Haven Hall Nursing Home, Brookhaven, MS. Rev. Newsome officiated with interment will be in the Rocky Branch Church Cemetery, Monticello, MS. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Rosie Mae Banks was born to the late Ed and Jewel Lee Smith in Lawrence County, MS. She was a former resident of Georgetown, MS, and later moved to Monticello, MS, to be near family.

She is survived by sisters, Virgie Lee Holloway of Silver Creek, Edna M. Coleman of New Orleans, LA, Pinkie Walker of New Hebron, and Arcola Taylor of Monticello; nephew and caregiver, Willie Arnold of Monticello.
