Funeral services were held Monday July 13, 2015, at Saul’s Valley Baptist Church in Jayess, MS, for Mr. Aubrey Gerald Daniels, age 72, who passed away July 11, at the Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello, MS. Rev. Winston Fortenberry officiated. Interment followed at Saul’s Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Corey Carney, John Carney, Dale Mullins, Keith Mullins, Kolby Givens and Todd Evans. Honorary pallbearer was Dylan Carney.

Gerald was born July 11, 1943, in Lawrence County, MS. He was the son of Aubrey Daniels and Leona Evans. He worked as a driller offshore for 20 years and farmed in his off time. He was a member of Saul’s Valley Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Daniels of Jayess, MS; his daughter, Darlene Carney (Art) of Jayess, MS; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carolyn Rayborn of Mobile, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Debbie, one brother and one sister.
