Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Keyes, 70, Raleigh, MS, were held on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Smith County Multipurpose Building, Raleigh, MS. Interment was in the Gregory Cemetery, Magee, MS. Pastor L.C. Magee officiated the services. Reeves Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Olive, was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Keyes passed away Sunday, July 5, at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Meadow, Jeremiah Keyes, Chester Keyes, Otis Ducksworth, Dan Blakeney, and Rickey Keyes.
Active pallbearers were Frederick Flowers, Michael Flowers, Warren Ducksworth, Tommie Ray Pittman, Cardell Ducksworth, Eugene Sims, Chester Lee Keyes, Jr., Wardell Ducksworth, M. T. Keyes, and Howard Pittman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary L. Keyes.
Survivors include his wife, Emma J. Keyes of Raleigh; three sons, Jerry Lee (Monica) Keyes, Jr., and Christ (Melissa) Keyes, both of Brandon, MS, and Glenn Hubbard, St. Petersburg, FL; one daughter, Tameka Keyara Keyes of Raleigh; five sisters, Exie Mae Pittman, Bennie Kay(George) McLaurin, Elsie (Otis) Ducksworth, all of Mize, MS, Sarah Nell Keyes of Raleigh, and Barbara (Danny) Keyes of Taylorsville, MS; two brothers, Harold David Keyes of Collins, MS, and Chester Keyes of Mt. Olive, MS; 13grandchildren; one godson, Mason Rankins, Mendenhall, MS; a good friend, Paul Meadeow and his family; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
