Funeral services were held Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Mt. Zion MB Church for Mrs. Mary Lee White, 80, who died on Saturday, July 4, at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS. Rev. Ozell White officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mary Lee White was born to the late Johnny and Nolie Mikell in the Springhill Community. She was the oldest of seven children. She attended Spring Hill School and was a member of Springhill MB Church. Later, she married Harvey White and moved to the Mt. Zion Community. She joined Mt. Zion MB Church and was an usher for many years and worked with the Missionary Band.

Mrs. White retired as the supervisor of housekeeping from Jeff Davis Community Extended Care Facility.

She is survived by husband, Harvey White; five children, Jimmy Dale White and Dr. Joann White both of Jackson, MS, Beverly (William) Jones of Prentiss, MS, Patricia White of Detroit, MI, Gail M. Byers of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Jacques, Javier, and Jamaal all of Houston, TX; two brothers, Willie Mikell of Prentiss, MS, and James Calvin of Philadelphia, PA; one aunt, Malene Buckley of Henderson, NV; many other relatives and friends.
