Glynn “Joe” Leonard

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss, for Mr. Glynn Lowell Leonard who passed away July 24 at his residence in Hattiesburg. Interment followed at Oakvale Cemetery in Mt. Olive. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Jerry Beam and Rev. Chuck Carroll officiated. Pallbearers were John Mike Hudson, Jason Leonard, II, Lewis Norman, III, Danny Waldrop, Mark Leonard, Kevin Magee and River Leonard. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Allen, Roy Young, Cliff Kelly, John Holly Stewart, Glynn Mallett, Scotty Bonner, Henry Batte and the men of Mt. Olive Methodist Church.

“Joe” was born August 2, 1942, in Mississippi. He was the son of Glynn W. Leonard and Lucy Magee Leonard. He was part owner of Glynn Leonard Construction Co. for 50 years. He was a member of the MS Road Builders and the Cattlemen Associations. He was a member of Mt. Olive Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Leonard of Hattiesburg; three sons, Lance and Wesley Leonard both of Hattiesburg, and Hank Leonard of Corinth; one daughter, Laurie Neely of Annapolis, MD; one stepson, Scotty Bonner of Hattiesburg; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one stepson.
