Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Society Hill Baptist Church for Irma Polk, age 94 of Carson who died Sunday, July 5, at her residence. Services were conducted by Bro. Tommy Broom, Bro. Terry Wallace, and Bro. Jake Staten with Colonial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Polk was born November 30, 1920, to Richmond and Mamie Ratcliff. She worked most of her life as a seamstress for Pioneer Aerospace formerly Reliance Manufacturing. She was an excellent cook and totally devoted to her husband, Tandy B. Polk who preceded her in death.

She was a member of Society Hill Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Sherman Ratcliff.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and sister-in-laws Lillian Ratcliff of Carson, MS and Maybert Polk of Oakvale, MS
