Born August 3, 1945, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the age of 70, Ronnie was married to Mary Jane Howard, his wife of 45 years. He is further survived by his three sons, John Emmitt and wife Pam, Randy and Kevin Stamps; two stepchildren, David Joe Caves and wife Nan, Janice Herring and husband Bobby Joe; seven grandchildren, Tracy Amos, Jacob Wood, Justin Jordan, Kara Daniels, Kristin Phillips, Deaton Stamps and Anna Herring Holybee. Ronnie also had eight great-grandchildren.

Ronnie was a longtime active member of Crooked Creek Baptist. Recently he was a long haul truck driver but had retired in 2002 with Pool and Nabors Offshore after 29 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman whose life was blessed with numerous friends and loved ones. His life was characterized by gentleness, a great sense of humor and love for both his immediate family and his church family. His favorite Scripture verse was John 3:16. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers include Jacob Wood, Adam Holybee, Larry Davis, Mike Daughdrill, Brent Daniels and Donnie Weeks. Honorary pallbearers are Terrell Smith, Roger Dale Daughdrill, Wayne Byrd and Ryan Byrd.
