Funeral services were held Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Friendship MB Church in Collins, Mississippi, for Mrs. Carolyn McLaurin, age 64, who died Wednesday, August 26, in Gulfport, MS. Rev. Bonus D. Brown, Jr. officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Carolyn McLaurin was born to the Kathleen Gamble and Harvey Magee. She was raised in Mt. Olive, Mississippi, and later moved to Jefferson Davis County.

She is survived by companion, Joseph H. Williams of Oakvale, MS; one daughter, Hope (Conrad) Magee Collins of Gulfport, MS; one son, Hairl D. McLaurin of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters, Carrie Ann Jones of Bassfield, MS, and Cora (Dave) Nelson of Bassfield, MS; one brother, Clifton Lee Wolfe of Bassfield, MS; 11 grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one god-daughter, Tonica Lee; two special friends, Ann Wilks and Joyce Burkett; many other relatives and friends.
