The Firework Celebration that was hosted by Unity in the Community this past Saturday was a huge success.

The day was filled with food, fun and fellowship enjoyed by all.

Unity provided free hot dogs and hamburgers, while other vender’s offered chicken on a stick, funnel cakes and snow cones.

There were plenty of activities for young and old alike. The inflatable jump, basketball goal and face painting entertained the younger crowd, while the young at heart enjoyed a tremendous amount of local Jeff Davis County talent on stage.

There were numerous informational booths that provided current and helpful facts and goodie bags to those that stopped by.

As the sun went down the sky lit up with red, white and blue fireworks to express patriotism and appreciation to our community and country as a whole.

Unity in the Community was proud of the success of this event and would like to thank all of the sponsors, performers vendors, members, and community involvement. This event would not have been successful without all the efforts of the ones mentioned.

Unity in the Community looks forward to continuing their support and uplifting in a positive direction in Jefferson Davis County.

Unity holds a once-a-month meeting at the Jefferson Davis County Courthouse the first Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m. We extend a welcome to all.
