Thank an Officer Day
The Jefferson Davis County branch of The Wives Behind the Badge hosted a luncheon for Thank an Officer Day.
The luncheon was held on Sunday, September 20, at the Prentiss Police Department. Officers from across the county attended and plates were delivered to those on duty.
When asked about the luncheon Chief Joe Bullock stated, “I am truly touched by the outpour of support and I am grateful to serve such a caring community.” The Wives Behind the Badge members who organized the event are Kristen Bullock (County director of W.B.T.B), Kayla Williams (Secretary), Jessica Jackson (Treasurer), and Debi Hanson. “People brought food from all over the county,” stated Kristen Bullock. “It means so much to me and all the LEO wives. Our husbands chose a dangerous profession and it is comforting to see how compassionate the citizens of our county are towards law enforcement officers.”
