Funeral services were held Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Mt. Carmel MB Church for Mr. Darius E. White, age 36, who died Tuesday, September 15, in Washington, DC. Rev. James Dampeer officiated with interment following in the Griffith Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Darius White was born to Billy and Penelope White. He was a member of Ebenezer AME Church where he was a member of Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and Boy Scouts.

He participated in the sports programs in the Prince George’s County Public School and Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club.

He attended University of Alabama. His work included federal government and food service employment. In addition, he coached teams in PG County.

He is survived by wife, Rene White of Washington, DC; daughters, Galaxy and Garvey White both of Washington, DC; parents, Billy and Penelope White of Accokeek, MD; brother, Cedric White of Silver Springs, MD.
