Funeral services were held Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. A.L. Lampton, age 78, who died Wednesday, September 30 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS. Rev. James Randolph officiated with interment following in the Bethlehem M.B. Church cemetery, Kokomo, MS. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. A. L. Lampton was born to the late Gussie Mae and Wallace Lampton. He joined Bethlehem Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until his death.

He is survived by wife, Arlean Lampton; eight daughters, Bonnie (Harry) Williams, Pamela (Lance) Adams, Shard (Evetta) Lampton, Sandra Lampton, Latrina Lampton and Patricia Oatis all of Prentiss, Evelyn (Arcell) Carr of Jayess, and Addie Lampton of Hattiesburg; sons, Leander Lampton, and Theodore Lampton both of Prentiss, Oliver (Michelle) Lampton of Hattiesburg; one sister, Annie Bell (Perry) Brent of Jayess, MS; many other relatives and friends.
