Funeral services were held Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Dublin Baptist Church in Prentiss, for Mr. Thomas E. McPhail, age 80, of Prentiss, who passed away, October 16 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Interment followed at Dublin Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss handled all arrangements.

Rev. Robert Sones and Rev. Jack Andrews officiated. Pallbearers were Heath Williams, Joey Wrenn, Morgan Berry, James Graves, Taylor McPhail and Billy Payne.

Thomas was born May 4, 1935, in Jefferson Davis County, MS. He was the son of Monroe McPhail, Sr. and Pearl Whitehead McPhail. He worked offshore as a welder and then owned McPhail Welding Shop in Prentiss. He was also a dozer operator and owned McPhail Dozer Services. He was a farmer and a deacon at Dublin Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter Stacy Stapleton of Prentiss; four sons, Thomas L. McPhail, Dale Eugene McPhail and Timothy Lane McPhail all of Prentiss, and Larry McPhail of Silver Creek.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ottie; four brothers and one sister.
