Funeral services were held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at The Pointe Multi-Purpose Center, Monticello, Mississippi for Master Edward “EJ” Johnson, Jr., 4, who died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, MS.
Elder L. Kendall Daughtry officiate with interment following in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Master Edward Johnson, Jr. was born on August 24, 2011 at King Daughters Hospital, Brookhaven, Mississippi.  He touched many lives.
He was diagnosed with Anaplastic Astrocytoma in 2015 and was a fighter until the end.

He is survived by: parents, Edward Johnson, Sr. and Shareil Newman both of Monticello, MS; three sisters, Ry’Onna Johnson, Kieglee Johnson and A’keira Brown; paternal grandparents, Eddie Broomfield and Pastor Marla Johnson; maternal grandparents, Trina (Charles) Kimbrough and Terrance (Corrine) Newman; maternal great-grand parents: Joe Hayes, Iola (Willie) McGowan and Amos Newman; many other relatives and friends.
