Funeral services were held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Mt.Zion M. B.Church for Mr. Billy De’Shun Johnson, 22, who died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in Jefferson Davis County.  Rev. Ozell White, pastor, officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Billy Johnson was born to Laretta Johnson and the late Ricky Armstrong.  He attended J. E. Johnson Elementary, Prentiss Jr. High and Prentiss High School.  He was a member of Mt. Zion M. B.Church.

He is survived by his  mother, Laretta Johnson of Prentiss, MS; maternal grandmother, Annie White and paternal grandmother, Mayetta Armstrong both of Prentiss, MS; special great aunt, Mary Lois White of Prentiss, MS; three sisters, Shelia Chatman and Maritza Johnson both of Prentiss, MS and Keair Watts of Hattiesburg, MS; two nephews, Jaleen Joseph and Semaj Chatman both of Prentiss, MS; one special child whom he loved as his own, Lai’ton Johnson of Prentiss, MS; three uncles, Johnny (Ethel Mae) White, Plez (Brenda) Armstrong and Chester Armstrong all of Prentiss,MS; six aunts, Alice (Micheal) Lofton, Mary Cooper, Virginia Daniels and Edna Youngblood, Irene (Roy) Davis all of Prentiss, MS; Carolyn (Joseph) Cooper of Phoenix, AZ.  Special friends, his dog, Black; Darez Donaldson and Rommie Daniels, Jr.; many other relatives and friends.
