The Prentiss Headlight / Yashica Bass

Ms. Yashica Bass is a graduate of Prentiss High School.  She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Alcorn State University in Health Science and a Master’s Degree in Education from William Carey University.  She has recently met the requirements for a Specialist’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from William Carey University.  Ms. Bass has taught in the public school setting for 16 years and wishes to continue to work in the field of education.

Teaching is a lifestyle of inspiration for Ms. Bass.  She believes that teachers plant seeds of knowledge and inspire students to think outside of the walls of the classroom.  She encourages children to think that the sky is the limit if they set goals and work for them.  She encourages students to think positive and make sound decisions.  Education is the foundation to obtaining life goals.  Children are our future in need of guidance and training.  Ms. Bass prays that she inspires her students to always do their best no matter how difficult things may seem.

When away from school, her schedule is kept busy by Cam’ron, Raymonte and Elijah.  She enjoys walking and keeping physically fit.  Ms. Bass actively attends Lucas Tabernacle Church. One of her life scriptures is “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  2Timothy 2:15.
